Scholastica Bahemana is an Implementer and Spatial Analyst Health Informatics professional with over 6 years’ proven extensive technical, strategic and management expertise leading the implementations of m-Health solutions working very closely with Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC).

Scholastica has proficient experiences in managing health information systems such as DHIS2 data warehouse, designing and strategic implementing digital platforms Closed User Group, eLearning and community Open Smart Register Platform (OpenSRP) for indicator monitoring and evaluation, developing and documenting SOPs and system user guides, training and building capacity on digital health solutions and MER systems, mobile data collection tools, developing and documenting timed report for implemented interventions. Unfolding GIS and mapping, Scholastica is currently working in Spatial analysis doing the geospatial mapping, analysis and visualization of indicator, mapping the health facility sites, creating the geodatabases and producing maps for better RMNCAH project planning. She is also responsible to conduct GIS training to the region and council management team to monitor and track on going activities, providing consultancy for other Implementing Partners on building GIS capacity and support USAID D4D enhancing the spatial analysis work. 

Scholastica has worked as Project mapping coordinator providing technical assistance to the project team at mapping all the KVP hotspots, collected the information, identified all service provision areas to get an estimated number of SAUTI Key Population and Community HIV Intervention project clients. She has proven bold skills in data management, collecting data, analysing and reporting HIV/AIDs information for project planning and decision making, and contributed to the strong leadership in managing data teams and clients’ records. Data review meeting coordination to identify and track the project progress and developing the mobile tools have been the key responsibilities regarding data management.

She is currently working with Jhpiego USAID Boresha Afya project in Lake and Western zones having resilient skills in Spatial statistics packages R, ArcGIS & QGIS, Powerbase, IPRS, MSDQI, MPDSR. She also possesses international experience in working with other Jhpiego countries on proving GIS and mapping consultancy.

Ms. Scholastica holds Masters of Applied Spatial in Spatial Analysis for Public Health from University of John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, Maryland. Bachelor of science in Information Systems from University of Dodoma, Tanzania.
